That National Indian Gaming Commission has approved the sports betting partnership between the Oneida Indiana Nation and Scientific Games Corporation. The deal between the two was announced back in January. Scientific will be providing the three properties of the Oneida Indian Nation with their OpenSports technology.
Sports betting in New York:
With the deal, the Oneida will be able to provide sports betting via SG at the Yellow Brick Road , Turning Stone Resort and Point Place Casinos. The operations will begin once the sports betting market launches in New York. The launch is expected in the near future.

SG Digital Group Chief Executive, Jordan Levin, commented on the approval by stating: “We’re making great strides in preparing for the New York market to go live with sports betting, and we’re honored to work with the Oneida Indian Nation to activate our proven sports betting solution. Being part of the first sports betting partnership to receive a favourable NIGC determination is a significant milestone that will set both Scientific Games and Oneida up for ongoing success. We look forward to implementing our OpenSports solution for Oneida as we gear up for expansion into New York.”
Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO, Ray Halbritter, commented on the partnership as well, stating that the group is proud to be among the first Indian nations to offer sports betting nationally and they appreciate the review of the Commission and approval of their SG partnership. Oneida feels that the collaboration will allow their casinos to give guests an incredible experience via sports betting.
Partnership Deals:
This alliance is the latest in a slew of deals signed by Scientific Gaming. Just a few weeks ago, the company announced a new partnership deal was signed with Big Time Gaming (BTG). The Megaways mechanic of BTG will be used by Scientific in their portfolio of content. The company has already used in the mechanic in the Medusa Megaways release, offering an enhanced experience of the slot game.
